Northern Zambia and the Lake Tanganyika area in
particular is steeped in history and tradition as well as being blessed
with natural beauty.

Kalambo falls
Situated several kilometres upstream of where the Kalambo river flows
into the lake is Africa's second highest single drop waterfall.
Shiwa N'gandu
Built in the 1920's by Sir Stewart Gore Browne, Shiwa Ngandu is a remarkable structure well worth the visit. There is
a nearby lodge and
hot spring that offers a bath temperature pond ideal
for soaking the days worries away.
Tondwa Game Management Area (GMA)
A multiple use zone adjacent to Sumbu National Park and consists
of a vast plain almost 20 km across. The area is rich in wildlife
and birdlife and during the wet season the whole plain floods.
Situated about 40km form Ndole Bay Lodge overnight camping trips can
be arranged with prior bookings

Lake Mweru Wantipa
Lies slightly to the west of Lake Tanganyika and while much smaller and
not a rift lake is home to the rare slender snouted crocodile.

Lumangwe Falls
Is several kilometres downriver from the Kalungwishi bridge on the Mansa
to Kawambwa road. An absolutely spectacular waterfall over 100 meters
wide and about 30 meters high.
Isolated in surrounding Miombo woodlands,
one of the best kept secrets of northern Zambia.

Ntumbachusi Falls
Situated only a kilometre off the tar road there is a delightful array
of swimming holes above the falls and the campsite is charming at the
base of the falls. An ideal overnight stopover on the way to Ndole Bay.
